I am seeking a compassionate and reliable provider who can provide care and assistance to a 98-year-old relative of mine in his daily activities. This role demands diligent attention to his needs, given his age-related challenges such as visual and hearing impairment, and potential incontinence. Not only would this role involve keeping a watchful eye on him but also providing a range of services, including preparing meals for him throughout the day, cleaning up after meals, and ensuring regular medication intake. The caretaker would also be responsible for maintaining cleanliness around the home, especially the bathroom, handling laundry using the available washing machine, and managing household waste in terms of daily garbage disposal and compost management. As the point of contact, the care provider would be expected to answer phone calls, take messages and handle incoming mail. An essential part of the role would be to accompany and supervise him outside his home to ensure his safety. As his independence gradually diminishes, there may be a need to assist in personal care tasks such as showering and dressing. This part-time role requires commitment throughout the week, in the morning, midday, and evening on all seven days. The position requires approximately 20-30 working hours per week. While live-in arrangements are not necessary, the provider would be expected to have their own car, with a valid driver's license, for any necessary mobility or potential emergencies. I am keen to ensure that my relative enjoys the highest standard of care so the preferred start date for the role is immediate. If you have prior experience in roles such as these or are willing to learn, I welcome you to reach out. As the situation may require adapting to changing needs, you'd need to have a flexible approach and be willing to adjust as necessary. Thank you for your interest and look forward to hearing from you.MoreSalary: Negotiable, based on experience20 - 30 hours/weekScheduleDesired start date immediatelyMorningAfternoonEveningOvernightMTWThFSaSuCaregiver is responsible forProfessional skillsLaundryMeal Planning / PreparationClean BathroomSupervise HomeWilling to work with or have experience withWork with diagnosesIncontinence (diapers)Visual ImpairmentHearing ImpairmentAdditional requirementsValid driver's licenseRequired to use own car Active: Today • Member since: August 2025Address
