Client is a Canadian-based integrated energy company headquartered in Calgary.
Client operates in Canada, the United States and the Asia Pacific region.
Our operations include oil sands projects in northern Alberta, thermal and conventional crude oil and natural gas projects across Western Canada, crude oil production offshore Newfoundland and Labrador and natural gas and liquids production offshore China and IndonesiaSN Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role:
1. End to end Project Delivery-Lead and deliver projects through the full lifecycle—from initiation, planning, execution, and monitoring, through successful closure ensuring delivery on scope, time, and budget.
2. Project Planning, Tracking & Reporting-Create, manage, and maintain detailed project plans, budgets, resource allocation schedules, purchase management (hardware/POs), and all project documentation and approvals.
3. Risk, Issue & Change Management-Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks; manage issues proactively; execute proper change control; and maintain strong stakeholder communication and coordination throughout the project.
4. Technical Oversight & Coordination-Coordinate with teams working on servers, Citrix, Vblock, data networks, cloud, databases, storage, and desktop environments; ensure delivery teams follow the technical requirements of the project.
5. Governance, Frameworks & Process Alignment-Ensure adherence to ITIL processes and drive process improvements using Lean/Six Sigma methods where applicableMust-Have:
1) Core Project Management Skills:
Ability to manage projects through the full lifecycle (initiation → planning → execution → monitoring → closing).
Ability to achieve project objectives on scope, on time, and within budget.
Experience managing: Project plans, Budgets, Resource allocation, Hardware purchases & Pos, Project documentation & approvals
Strong skills in: Risk management, Issue management, Change control, Stakeholder communication & coordination
2)Technical Knowledge Requirements:
Must have knowledge on : Servers, Citrix, Vblock, Data Networks, Cloud Computing, Database, Storage, Desktops
3)Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
4)Process & Framework Knowledge:
Working knowledge of ITIL framework and processes (explicitly stated as must).
Ability to create process improvement plans using Six Sigma/Lean methods.
5) Must have strong communication, leadership, presentation, coaching, and relationship management skillsGood-to-Have:
1) Experience with workstation refresh projects
2) Exchange migration to cloud
3) Energy and Utilities industry experienceRequired Skills: Strong end to end project management skills with expertise in risk/issue/change management, budgeting, resource planning, and stakeholder communication. *Must have technical knowledge of servers, Citrix, Vblock, networks, cloud, databases, storage, desktops, along with proficiency in MS Project/Excel/PowerPoint/Visio and ITIL + Lean/Six Sigma.Experience: 8–12 years of overall IT experience with at least 5+ years in end to end project managementSkills: Category Name Required Importance Experience
