  • Secondary School Education or equivalent required
Skill, Ability and Experience:
  • Two (2) years O.R. experience preferred
  • Previous experience in handling OR equipment preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and instrumentation preferred
  • Must have the ability to set priorities and to plan and organize work assignments
  • The ability to work independently as well as with others
  • Interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with both patients and staff
  • Demonstrated ability to fulfil role within Attendance Support Program parameters
  • French language proficiency is preferred
Principal Duties:
  • Portering of patients to and from the Operating Room / PACU
  • Stocking of supplies for the Operating Room / PA CU
  • Handling of highly technical fragile equipment
  • Preparing O.R. theatres for Surgery and assisting with O.R. procedure starts
  • Will perform other related duties as required
