- Management and negotiation of current contract portfolio and implementation of new sourcing initiatives.
- Assist in the development of long-range sourcing strategies for assigned projects or commodities.
- Become subject matter expert in the supply market for assigned areas. Advise current and future market trends.
- Use supplier and market data to incorporate business unit requirements, develop sourcing strategies, and optimize Brandt’s competitive position.
- Lead sourcing activities, supplier selection, supplier negotiations, and create and monitor supplier agreements.
- Research and identify potential suppliers for Brandt business units.
- Assist in disposal and resale or capital assets.
- Administer transition between capital purchase and MRO.
- Identify, implement, and manage supplier relationships to support Brandt’s business unit requirements.
- Analyze spend portfolio and determine overall procurement approach for assigned areas based on magnitude of dollars, strategic importance, and opportunity for value delivery.
- Master the contracting process (negotiation, contract preparation and administration), tactical and transactional activity for assigned areas.
- Deliver commercially sound supplier contracts that meet business units’ technology, quality and cost goals that provide optimum protection of company assets.
- Interfaces with strategic suppliers and business units to identify opportunities to reduce costs, standardize goods or services, adapt new supplier technologies, solve problems involving pricing or supplier performance.
- Identify and execute opportunities for procurement cost reduction and supplier performance improvement, including alternating suppliers and products, renegotiating contracts to account for market changes, and working in conjunction with appropriate functional areas as needed.

- Develop, write and publish bids (RFI, RFP, RFQ, RFx).
- Run bid evaluation meetings supported by technical stakeholders.
- Supplier negotiations, Contracts writing and Supplier Relationship Management
- Maintain current market information for the categories of responsibility to ensure that Brandt’s prices remain competitive within the confines of existing contracts.
- Liaise with the key capital stakeholders to establish the requirements and key metrics for project delivery.
- Interact with projects/customers on a multi-location/business basis to ensure needs and supply strategies are being executed as desired.
- Ensure compliance with the capital project procurement process and other aspects.
- Develop, monitor, and report performance metrics to key stakeholders
- Promote communication across the region to identify and drive toward common policies and best practices to achieve efficiencies and cost reductions.
- Facilitate the development and enhancement of processes, systems and reporting capabilities.
- Respond to contract administration audits and implement, as appropriate, audit recommendations.
- Responsible for his/her project forecast and results ensuring the appropriate documentation and justification is available
- Strong Customer focus and communication skills.
- Understanding and supporting the needs of internal customers and business partners is critical. The Candidate must be able to speak to specific work-related experiences to demonstrate these behaviors.

- Process orientation.
- Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
- A minimum of 6 years work experience, preferably in Procurement or Supply Chain.
- SCMP designation is an asset
- Highly valued experience in ERP systems
- Understanding and demonstrating results within Procurement / Supply Chain strategies/processes.
- Professional Procurement / Supply Chain or Project Management certifications.-
- Knowledge of strategic, transactional, and international Procurement.
- Risk identification and assessment.
- Development and management of contracts and supplier relationships.
- Management of legal documents and basic commercial law.
- Strong Customer focus and communication skills.
- Understanding and supporting the needs of internal customers and business partners is critical. The Candidate must be able to speak to specific work-related experiences to demonstrate these behaviors.
