- Underwrite investment opportunities across all asset classes using Argus DCF/Enterprise and Excel financial models to assess property performance, value, and investor returns.
- Analyze, review, and interpret real estate source documents, including operating statements, budgets, rent rolls, leases, loan documents, and other due diligence material
- Identify critical property-level financial issues and provide recommendations
- Compile and present analytical findings while effectively addressing questions from brokers
- Enhance client engagement through data-backed presentations that communicate risk, return, and strategic opportunities
- Collaborate across teams (marketing, research, and brokerage) to deliver cohesive, professional materials aligned with the Marcus & Millichap brand
- Support brokers in preparing high-quality offering memoranda and investment packages by supplying required financial and research materials
- Conduct location, market (comparables), property, tenant and economic research to inform pricing strategies and valuation assumptions
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years of commercial real estate underwriting experience, including advanced proficiency in Excel financial modeling and two (2) years of experience in ARGUS
- Demonstrated experience valuing income-producing properties and abstracting leases
- Proven ability to build complex cash-flow models and interpret financial statements
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
- Ability to work effectively with high-performing, detail-driven professionals across multiple disciplines
- Strong judgment and decision-making skills, with the ability to meet client-driven expectations and deadlines
- Detail-oriented, process-driven, and proactive, with the ability to see both the details and the broader strategic context
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Creative problem-solving skills and a strong sense of accountability and ownership in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
