- Work with stakeholders to understand business problems, define success metrics, and shape the AI approach.
- Translate business needs into data requirements, model/inference design, and a practical delivery plan.
- Build or coordinate delivery of AI solutions (in-house and/or with specialized external partners).
- Validate outputs with business SMEs and iterate toward reliable, measurable value.
- Support model development, training, evaluation, and deployment into production workflows.
- Design and maintain inference services or lightweight UI/workflows that integrate with business processes.
- Apply appropriate approaches (e.g., statistical models, machine learning, generative AI, rule-based logic, or hybrids) based on the use case.
- Monitor performance, detect drift or hallucinations, and drive continuous improvement (retraining, tuning, and rule updates).
- Partner with SAP, Microsoft, and other platform teams to align with Enerflex architecture and integration standards.
- Incorporate product rules/configurations/constraints into AI workflows where required.
- Identify delivery, data, or operational risks early and propose practical mitigations.
- Maintain operational runbooks, documentation, and support processes for AI solutions.
- Drive structured knowledge transfer from vendors to internal teams.
- Help establish repeatable patterns, standards and best practices for AI delivery at Enerflex.
- Strong understanding of AI concepts and the ability to apply them to real business problems.
- End-to-end understanding of the AI lifecycle: data sourcing → training/development → inference → validation → deployment → monitoring and improvement.
- Solid foundation in data work including defining data needs, assessing quality, and supporting preparation or feature development.
- Comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders; able to explain trade-offs and drive decisions.
- Experience coordinating external delivery partners and structuring effective knowledge transfer.
- Strong documentation, operational thinking, and ownership mindset.
- University degree or technical diploma in IT, Data Management, Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of experience.
- Hands-on experience delivering analytics or AI solutions into production enterprise environments (beyond proof-of-concepts).
- Experience in engineering, manufacturing, or Engineer-to-Order environments.
- Familiarity with SAP and Microsoft-centric landscapes (e.g., SAP ECC6, S/4HANA, M365, and Azure).
- Exposure to governance, auditability, and control considerations in regulated or SOX-relevant environments.
- Fluid, fast-paced, and collaborative office environment.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada and able to travel to the U.S. when required.
