  • Lead daily maintenance operations, including preventative maintenance inspections (PMIs) and safety checks
  • Diagnose and repair fleet vehicles and equipment, including brakes, engines, suspensions, drivetrains, hydraulics, fuel injection, and electronics
  • Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire changes, lubrication, and cleaning
  • Remove, overhaul, and reinstall mechanical components with minimal supervision
  • Complete accurate work orders and maintain detailed records of maintenance and parts used
  • Move vehicles safely between work areas and perform test drives to ensure proper performance
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop that meets Transdev standards
  • Identify safety hazards, report major observations, and take corrective action as needed
  • Share knowledge with team members to support skills development and operational excellence
  • Supervise the work of apprentice technicians, coaching and mentoring them as they develop their skills
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and maintenance standards
  • Assist with additional responsibilities or projects as requested

What you bring
  • Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician or Truck and Transport Mechanic certification
  • Class 5 driver’s license
  • Personal mechanic tool set
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
  • Proficiency with computers and digital maintenance systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work assigned shifts, including occasional evenings or weekends

Your location & schedule
  • Yellowknife, Northwest Territories (relocation package available)
  • 40 hours per week, standard Monday–Friday schedule with some flexibility based on operational needs
Relocation package
  • $10,000 relocation allowance
  • $10,000 sign on bonus
  • $10,000 retention bonus upon completion of 12 months service
