Staffplus is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic to join our manufacturing team. If you are someone who likes working with your hands, fix machines and take things apart, then we are looking for you!Job Type: Temporary - OngoingLocation: Scarborough, ONPay Rate: $28.00/hour to $33.00/hourHours: 1:30pm to 10:00pm (Training: 7:00am to 3:30pm)Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair production equipment and mechanical systems
- Perform preventative maintenance on motors, pumps, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems
- Maintain components including bearings, gearboxes, and drive systems
- Read and interpret blueprints and mechanical schematics
- Perform welding and basic fabrication as needed
- Install and rig equipment during maintenance or upgrades
- Use a CMMS system to complete work orders and maintenance records
- Support safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Industrial Maintenance Mechanic / Millwright certification (433A Red Seal)
- Experience with PLCs, AC/DC motors, and controls
- Experience operating forklifts, scissor lifts, or similar equipment
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and overtime if needed
- Comfortable working in hot, noisy, or dusty environments
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Welding experience required
- Experience with motors, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and able to work full time hours as required by this position
