- Partner with cross functional stakeholders to understand, track, and operationalize Lightspeed's obligations to its key third party financial services partners, including applying obligations to direct product development efforts, and maintaining relationships with those partners.
- Develop, implement and maintain compliance plans, playbooks, and best practices in order to expand and scale our financial services product suite
- Actively monitor compliance and regulatory developments industry wide
- Conduct ad hoc analyses and manage complex, cross-functional, and/or multi-jurisdictional projects
- Train colleagues and stakeholder groups on what to watch out for from a compliance perspective
- 6+ years of experience working in compliance advisory role, ideally in a financial technology company or in the payments industry
- Intimate knowledge of card brand rules, PCI-DSS compliance, NACHA rules, payments facilitator licensing requirements, merchant cash advance licensing requirements and generally compliance and regulatory obligations that apply to the fin-tech industry
- Demonstrated track record of working with financial partners on regulatory compliance matters including, but not limited to: financial crimes, licensing requirements, regulatory reporting, financial product obligations, consumer compliance, conduct risk, complaints handling, money transmission rules
- Experience evaluating emerging products for compliance risk, working with the product and business stakeholders to implement creative solutions to tough compliance requirements, and conducting compliance reviews of new products and marketing materials
