Job DescriptionPride Bodies Ltd., a Wabtec Company in Cambridge, Ontario, offers custom design and truck-body manufacturing and upfitting of utility, service, construction, railway and other custom truck bodies. Our environmentally-friendly truck bodies are researched, designed and customized to our customers' satisfaction.Who will you be working with?We currently have an open position of General Assembler. As a member of the team at Pride Bodies Ltd., you will be working daily in the Assembly Department with the Assembly Supervisor and a group of approximately 14 other Assemblers.How will you make a difference?

Uphold priorities of Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement and Teamwork;
Perform work that is accurate and finished to the satisfaction of our end customers.

What do we want to know about you?

High School/GED diploma required;
Able to maintain regular and reliable attendance;
Able to work safely at all times, checking for hazards before starting any task;
Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude;
Stamina and strength to perform manual labour;
Able to read and understand engineering drawings;
Demonstrate mechanical ability and experience;
Troubleshoot problems and take corrective action;
Able to work independently and as part of a team.

What will your typical day look like?

Understand instructions and carry them out efficiently within the given deadline;

Apply safe automotive/manufacturing work practices;
Read and understand shop drawings to enable independent work;
Use basic hand tools to perform tasks;
Install body doors, trim, moldings and other related hardware;
Fabricate components such as mud -flap brackets, small mounting plates;

Mount and install various components such as air tanks and compressors;
Take all work order packages from start to finish with minimal assistance in a timely manner.

Day shift: 41-hour work week, 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. M-Th, 7 a.m. to Noon F;
Wage range: $23.47 to $28.97;
