The chosen applicant will be responsible for leading a team of contracted Field Service Representatives (FSR) in providing post-sales technical support and customer service to the RCAF CC130J Hercules Fleet operated and maintained at 8 Wing Trenton.. Additionally the chosen applicant will be personally responsible for providing aircraft structures (ACS) technical support and customer service to the RCAF CC130J.This position will work directly with the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Contractor Field Office (CFO) at Trenton.Responsibilities
  • Leads a team contracted FSRs to provide technical solutions to a wide range of aircraft problems.
  • Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practical, and consistent with organizational objectives.
  • Provides assistance to RCAF operators and technicians with the interpretation and application of the approved maintenance program for the CC130J Hercules fleet and monitors structural repairs in progress.
  • Technical assistance in the interpretation of CC130J aircraft and ancillary equipment, technical manuals, engineering drawings, and schematics.
  • Liaison to the contractor plant to resolve operational and maintenance problems and to quickly disseminate other support information to customer personnel.
  • Interfacing with the various customers' entities on a daily basis in supporting the various components of the weapon system as a whole.
  • Reviewing, assisting, and providing on-site representation for CC130J Trial Kit Installations.
  • Reviewing, assisting, and providing on-site representation for Operational Test and Evaluation.
  • Reviewing and commenting on the internal Contractor Engineering Change Request System (ECRS) Change Requests (CRs) that affects the Canada Forces CC130J fleet.
  • Reviewing and commenting on draft Service Bulletins (SBs), modifications, drawings, kit lists, and other supporting documents that affect the Canada Forces CC130J fleet.
  • Providing Status/Technical Information for various meetings, as required.
  • Providing Daily Aircraft Status reports to the CFO Manager
  • Providing Monthly Activity Reports to the CFO Manager
  • Utilizing technical information related to Lockheed Martin Proprietary Information such as drawings, engineering handbooks, processes, and specifications.
  • Utilizing Third Party Proprietary Information to include vendor manuals, drawings, and various other supporting documents.
  • Contributes to the completion of specific CC130J Hercules specific programs and projects.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor; and
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
What you bring to the role
  • A graduate of recognized aircraft maintenance program from an accredited college in a related disciple, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional and technical experience with the CC130 Hercules;
  • Completed C130J Hercules type course or suitable equivalent experience.
  • Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts, in the field.
  • Detailed knowledge of aircraft structures and structural components, inspection techniques, damage assessment, aircraft materials and hardware, use of special tools and equipment.
  • Detailed knowledge of corrosion control techniques and paint or coating systems.
  • Must be capable of reading and interpreting technical documentation such as technical manuals, drawings and technical data packages, engineering dispositions and instructions and associated data.
  • Must have a valid Ontario Driver's License.
  • Ability to travel and work on or off-site assisting Mobile Repair Parties.
  • Ability to work shift work as required.
