With deep expertise in design, development, manufacturing, and commissioning, we deliver innovative solutions that support the safe and responsible advancement of the nuclear sector.We are a dynamic and collaborative team seeking a driven professional who shares our values and brings a practical, results-oriented approach to help move our organization forward.Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000 (commensurate with experience)Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced QHSE Supervisor to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality, health & safety, and environmental programs across our operations.This role is critical in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, maintaining ISO-certified systems, and fostering a strong culture of safety, quality, and environmental responsibility.Key ResponsibilitiesQuality
- Supervise and support team members across multiple operational areas
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and nuclear regulatory requirements (e.g., CNSC)
- Conduct inspections, audits, and quality investigations within decontamination and RPPE production processes
- Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) and document control processes
- Lead root cause analysis, non-conformance investigations, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
- Support internal and external audits, including client and regulatory inspections
- Train and mentor staff on quality processes, procedures, and standards
- Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Support supplier quality programs and ensure documentation compliance
- Oversee calibration and maintenance of process equipment
- Prepare and report on monthly quality KPIs
- Maintain ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management System across the facility
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve the Health & Safety Program
- Promote safety awareness and ensure compliance across all levels of the organization
- Develop and deliver safety training programs and onboarding for new hires
- Conduct annual program reviews and internal audits
- Support Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) meetings and initiatives
- Investigate incidents, injuries, and near misses; recommend corrective actions
- Track and report safety metrics, including injuries and lost-time hours
- Interpret and apply relevant safety standards, codes, and regulations
- Maintain ISO 14001 Environmental Management System
- Monitor environmental programs, policies, and compliance requirements
- Conduct environmental inspections, observations, and testing
- Oversee hazardous materials and waste storage compliance
- Support environmental training and awareness across the organization
- Maintain records to ensure compliance with environmental legislation
- Conduct environmental audits and identify improvement opportunities
- Review incident investigations to ensure root cause identification and corrective action implementation
- Post-secondary education (College or University) in a relevant field; Occupational Health & Safety Certificate preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a QHSE Coordinator or Supervisor role
- Minimum 2 years of experience within the nuclear industry
- Strong knowledge of ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 or equivalent)
- Experience in manufacturing and/or nuclear environments
- Solid understanding of auditing, inspection, and risk assessment methodologies
- Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Excellent communication and training delivery skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence and promote a culture of safety
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
