- Operate a commercial vehicle to pick up and deliver goods to customers in Melfort and surrounding areas
- Provide excellent customer service to a well-established customer base
- Perform thorough pre-trip, post-trip, and en-route vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance
- Accurately complete and maintain electronic logs using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD)
- Adhere to all applicable transportation regulations, including hours of service rules
- Properly secure and handle various types of cargo according to load securement guidelines
- Follow all Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) protocols when applicable
- Plan efficient routes and manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, ensuring it is in good working condition
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members
- Complete all required paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely manner
- Report any incidents, accidents, or vehicle maintenance issues promptly
- Participate in ongoing safety training and company meetings as required
- Represent the company professionally through appearance, behavior, and adherence to company policies
- Class 1 license required
- Physically Fit
- Ability to complete proper pre/post & inter trips
- Knowledge of ELD (Electronic Logging Devices)
- Knowledge of hours of service
- Knowledge of load securement TDG & WHMIS
- Must have good customer service skills
- Must be reliable, dependable, and hard-working
- Must be able to provide a clean criminal record check, driver's abstract, and 2 work-related references
