How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Report to the Team Lead, PMO.
  • Direct and lead the end-to-end implementation of the AMA Workday Adaptive Planning project involving internal and external implementation partners.
  • Lead the transition from legacy budgeting processes into the automated, driver-based forecasting environment of Adaptive Planning.
  • Lead initiatives to optimize the Enterprise Resource Planning platform ensuring seamless data flows between core Financials, Adaptive Planning and Operational systems.
  • Create and maintain critical project artifacts including project charters, project and integration plan(s), schedules, decisions, change orders, risks and mitigations logs.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with project/delivery teams, Finance and other business areas and external parties to ensure interdependencies are identified early and managed successfully.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the implementation team and the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) business owners to ensure the tool meets business process and reporting requirements.
  • Ensure all application changes are developed, tested and implemented in a well-controlled environment.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams that will complete the following: initial research and design, creating and pitching proposals, driving implementation, evaluation and review, and performance monitoring.
  • Conduct regular analysis to identify opportunities and develop strategies to improve performance on key KPIs.
  • Escalate issues early in a clear, concise manner to ensure obstacles can be overcome and the project stays on track.
  • Actively drive project success and outcomes by managing timelines, deliverables, cost and other project constraints.
  • Increase overall effectiveness, efficiency and profitability through operational improvements and smart resourcing.
What You Bring to the Table
  • You have extensive Enterprise Resource Planning implementation experience including recent project management experience with Workday Adaptive Planning projects.
  • Demonstrated experience working on large implementation projects with multiple vendors.
  • You’re no newbie – you already have at least 8 years of experience in project management leading major IT initiatives and enterprise software projects.
  • You have a post-secondary education in a related field.
  • Having a project management designation (ISP, PMP) would be considered an asset.
  • Planning, budgeting & reporting process knowledge or accounting experience and/or designation would be considered an asset.
  • Exceptional communication skills across a range of forums and channels and with senior level stakeholders.
  • Your project management skills are impeccable at every stage – planning, analysis, problem solving, delivery and communication.
  • Your in-depth understanding of agile and lean delivery concepts & methodologies, with a history of successfully applying this knowledge to project management makes you a perfect candidate for this role.
