
Journey Level Electrician

- Must have the ability to read and understand technical guides, drawings and specifications.
- Hours: Project dependent; Monday – Friday. Minimum 40 hours per week, with overtime necessary during the busy season (April-October)
- Hourly rate is dependent on experience.

- Interpret electrical code specifications.
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.
- Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.
- Maintain, repair, install and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators and reactors.
- Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices.
- Journeyman Electrician Certification or equivalent is required.
- At least 2-3 years working as an Journey Level Electrician or equivalent experience required.
- Arial Work Platfrom Certification.
- Fall Arrest Certification.
- H2S Alive.
- CSTS 09, and WHMIS 2015 are required.
- You are able to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) 9-23 Kg.
- Arial Work Platform Certification.
- Fall Protection & Rescue, Aerial Platform, Confined Spaces, Rigging/Hoisting and Hand. Signals, and First Aid/CPR certification would be an asset.
- You have a safety conscious attitude and able to work with others in a team.
- A reliable means of transportation is required.
- Proficient English language skills required.
- A successful pre-access drug and Alcohol test may be required depending on the project.
