Mechanical Engineer – Industrial Projects (Permanent | Vancouver, BC)A leading integrated design consultancy is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join its team in Vancouver. Known for delivering sustainable and innovative building solutions, this multidisciplinary firm collaborates across engineering, architecture, and design to create impactful environments.About the Role You’ll join a collaborative team of engineers, designers, and technologists delivering complex new-build and renovation projects across sectors such as:

This role offers the opportunity to lead mechanical design efforts, mentor junior team members, and contribute to project delivery excellence at every stage.Key Responsibilities
  • Lead mechanical design for mid- to large-scale industrial and institutional projects.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on project development, resource planning, and quality control.
  • Prepare detailed documentation, technical specifications, and construction drawings.
  • Provide input during design development, client meetings, and project coordination sessions.
  • Use Revit, AutoCAD, and other BIM tools to produce and mark up 3D models.
  • Oversee project scopes, budgets, and timelines.
  • Participate in internal coaching, mentoring, and recruitment activities.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in British Columbia (or eligible).
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in building mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and HVAC load calculation tools.
  • Strong understanding of applicable building and energy codes.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
  • Must be eligible to obtain Security Clearance (Department of National Defence).
  • LEED accreditation (Green Associate or AP) is an asset.
