Our client, A leading industry electronics manufacturer, is seeking Quality Inspectors to join their team. As a Quality Inspector, you are responsible for inspecting electronic assemblies and mechanical assemblies by visual, automated and X-Ray means for conformity to IPC-A-610 workmanship standards and internal quality workmanship standards. The ideal candidate will have recent experience inspecting circuit boards and a strong ability to read and interpret schematics which will align successfully in the organisation.Job Title: Quality InspectorLocation: Carleton Place, ONPay Rate: $19.00 / Hour (+10% premium for night shift)Day Shift: 7:00 am - 4:00 pm (Monday to Friday)
Night Shift: 3:30 pm - 01:30 am (Monday to Thursday)What's the Job?
  • Perform in-process, first article and final inspections on electronic assemblies, subassemblies and finished products to determine conformance with applicable drawing specifications, IPC-A-610 workmanship standards, and internal quality workmanship standards; and record inspection status on applicable quality control (QC) records by paper or electronic means as required.
  • Complete visual inspection using microscopes, magnifiers, and video scopes.
  • Complete X-Ray inspection of product as required and specified.
  • Complete Automated Inspection using Automated Optical Inspection Equipment.
  • Verify critical product conformity measurements using tools and instruments such as calipers, micrometers, jigs, and rulers.
  • Complete accurate QC records (on paper and by electronics means) to provide results and feedback.
  • Write Non-Conforming Materials Reports (NCMR) when required and be familiar with the process of quarantining non-conforming products.
  • Provide input for inspection methods and improvements
  • Assist quality and engineering in investigations
  • Provide samples and communication to QA and Production Management concerning quality issues when required.
What's Needed?
  • High School Diploma
  • Recent experience inspecting circuit boards for acceptability using IPC-A-610 standard using visual or automated means.
  • Minimum 3 years in an electronics assembly field.
  • Familiarity with IPC-A-610, Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings & Schematics
  • Must have own vehicle and licence (location only accessible by car)
Physical Requirements
  • Detailed work requiring continuous fine motor skills and repetitive motion
  • Lifting of a minimum of 15 lbs. is required. Lifting is generally at or below 30 lbs. without significant repetitions.
