This internship will support the Product Marketing team through data driven analysis of Sales and OEM (Original Equipment) performance across Eaton product groups. The intern will leverage coding and analytical skills to process large datasets, conduct SWOT analyses, identify regional performance gaps, and highlight areas requiring strategic focus.
Insights generated through this role will help improve resource allocation, market prioritization, and revenue growth initiatives, supporting Eaton’s objective of becoming easier to do business with and more competitive in key markets.Essential Functions
- Process and analyze Sales and OEM performance data across multiple product groups and regions
- Utilize coding, scripting, and analytical tools to automate data preparation and analysis workflows
- Conduct SWOT analyses to evaluate product group performance and competitive positioning
- Identify regional trends, performance gaps, and growth opportunities requiring strategic attention
- Develop dashboards, reports, and visual summaries to communicate insights to Product Marketing and Sales stakeholders
- Support data driven recommendations to improve resource allocation and go to market strategies
- Document standard work and analytical methodologies to support repeatable and scalable analysis
- Perform all job functions with adherence to Eaton’s Philosophy and Values, as well as Safety and Environmental standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate from a Bachelor’s degree or College diploma program in Marketing, Business Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now or in the future.
- This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must reside within a radius of 120 kilometres from Burlington, ON.
- Experience with data analysis, coding, or scripting (e.g., Python, SQL, R, VBA, or similar tools)
- Familiarity with data visualization or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel, Tableau)
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to translate data into clear, actionable business insights
- Interest in product marketing, sales analytics, or market strategy
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
- Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Comfortable working cross functionally with Marketing, Sales, and Operations teams
- Self motivated with a continuous improvement mindset
