
Senior Geotechnical Project Manager

- Job Description
- Carry out and supervise complete geotechnical studies, from planning to report writing, including soundings, drillings, laboratory tests and design recommendations
- Inspect, assess safety and upgrade earth dams
- Coordinate studies, engineering and field work, as well as relations with subcontractors and suppliers
- Prepare technical documents, such as bids for interdepartmental or public tenders, as well as plans and specifications for earthworks, slope stabilization and bank protection, with the support of experienced draftsmen.
- Supervise, train and guide young engineers, CPIs or trainees, while playing an active role in team development
- Prepare proposals, qualification files and project deliverables
- Manage projects as a whole: lead meetings (management, clients, teams), perform calculations and supervise preparation of deliverables
- Process, compile and analyze data to ensure the quality and integrity of deliverables
- Ensure administrative follow-up of projects, including management of timesheets, invoicing and tasks related to compliance with health and safety policies
- Contribute to business development by promoting CIMA+ services through strategic initiatives
- Profile
- University degree in civil or geological engineering with specialization in geotechnics
- Minimum seven (7) years' experience in geotechnical engineering
- Membre of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
- Experience or Master's degree in hydrogeology or rock mechanics or soil dynamics or permafrost (an asset)
- Knowledge of specialized geotechnical software
- Proficiency in written and spoken French and English is required to communicate effectively with various stakeholders
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
- Proven multidisciplinary teamwork skills and ability to manage several projects simultaneously
