
Regional Sales Manager - Mid-West

- Manage the territory for maximum coverage across select product lines
- Identify project opportunities and determine if they should be quoted & sold directly through our Solutions sales team, the RSM, or a dealer. Have strong industrial market awareness and take active responsibility for the company’s profitability and success on each job.
- Manage sales pipeline using Microsoft Dynamics CRM
- Become adept at using sales support resources, train partners on all tools and programs, and assure they are actively using them
- Maintain fair and appropriate discount levels for resellers based on program criteria. Be in tune with competitive offerings and market pricing to assure accurate quoting.
- Produce monthly sales forecasts, then plan and execute to achieve target sales.
- Follow processes and procedures outlined in all phases of the business
- Train and consult with dealers to drive expected annual sales growth.
- Drive market share increases annually and attain new channel partners per assigned goals
- Assess the territory distribution base and determine where we have and need coverage leading to replacing and/or re-engaging existing, and aggressively adding new dealers.
- Hold dealers accountable to engage with products and programs to exceed all dealer program expectations. maximizing our share of wallet, and to meet the expectations that accompany being a dealer
- Help dealers develop an annual Business Plan outlining how they are going to market to drive sales to achieve specific measurable business objectives.
- Work closely with Product Managers and the Solutions Project Team in the management of everything impacting your region.
- Skilled in consultative selling techniques, needs analysis, and strategic planning
- Have a background working with technical products through distribution channels such as wholesale distributers, dealers, and manufacturers reps.
- Must be mechanically inclined
- Success selling to direct manufacturing, OEMs and National Accounts is a plus.
- Proven success in managing a large territory and growing an existing book of business.
- Self-motivated and drive to succeed. Will work out of home office and travel 40-50%
- Computer skills with Word, Excel, Pivot Tables, Quote Tools, and CRM
- Valid driver’s license and passport.
