Your Opportunity:The successful candidate for this position will be part of a fast-paced General Imaging Team in Central Alberta. The RDRHC provides care for patients with high levels of acuity and complexity. This Medical Radiation Technologist I (MRT I) position is responsible for providing and performing the highest quality imaging service during the evening and night shift hours. The MRT I provides this imaging service in an effective, efficient and safe manner. Experience and an excellent working knowledge in all areas of radiography including fluoroscopy, portables and OR is required. In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for performing CT scans during the hours not covered by a CT Technologist. A collaborative, enthusiastic and optimistic work ethic is essential. 4 on 4 off rotation.Description:As a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) I, you will perform a variety of standard technical radiological imaging examinations on patients for the purpose of disease and pathology diagnosis. You will interpret physician requisitions, prepare and assess patients for examination and produce high quality diagnostic images for Physician/Radiologist review, and assist with the care and maintenance of equipment. Your work may include a variety of procedures such as general and portable radiography, mobile and surgical suite examinations, as well as fluoroscopy where required.

Required Qualifications:Completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications:Current CT training, certification or experience. Excellent public relations and service-oriented character, proven problem-solving skills with logical/methodical work habits. Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Connect Care & PACs. Demonstrated ability to work independently and/or in a team environment. Demonstrated initiative, judgment and attention to detail and accuracy. Proven ability to work in stressful situations. Demonstrated interest in professional growth and development. Stable work and attendance record. Preferred Qualifications:3 years working experience as a MRT in an acute care setting.
