You will lead a high-performing team delivering mission-driven projects on our healthcare team—while contributing to innovation, mentorship, and meaningful client relationships.You will initially integrate with an established team of mechanical designers and engineers, ranging from Junior Designer to Principal.Responsibilities & QualificationsKey ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team DevelopmentLead, mentor, and manage a growing team of mechanical engineers and designers.Establish performance plans and KPIs (e.g. DLM, chargeability, technical quality).Oversee team hiring, training, retention, compensation, and career progression.Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.Operational ExcellenceSet and manage project budgets, team revenue targets, and labour forecasts.Monitor financial and operational metrics (e.g. WIP, write-downs, productivity).Maintain team compliance with Introba’s QA/QC and best practices.Ensure project plans and progress are maintained in Deltek (Introba's PM system).Client Engagement & Business DevelopmentServe as principal liaison for key clients and high-profile projects.Develop and secure new project opportunities in both core and emerging sectors.Support and promote Introba's full multidisciplinary service offering.Resolve client issues and lead contract negotiations as needed.Technical & Design LeadershipProvide oversight on technical quality and delivery for all mechanical systems.Guide teams through procurement strategies and cost management.Oversee construction contract administration and field reviews.Promote technical innovation in smart building systems, energy optimization, and sustainability.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Client Satisfaction & Growth: 80%+ repeat client rate; ≥1 new strategic client/yearFinancial Performance: Project write-downs ≤5% of annual NSR; Profitability meets/exceeds annual targetsPeople & Culture: Regrettable turnover ≤10%; Minimum 2 team members promoted/yearOperational Compliance: AR DSO ≤75 days; 90%+ of projects updated monthly in DeltekQualifications & Experience15+ years of mechanical design experience, including major institutional and healthcare projectsProven team leadership experience with at least 5 direct reportsUniversity degree, college/technology diploma in Mechanical EngineeringLicensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in British Columbia through EGBCLEED AP and/or Passive House certification preferredStrong community or industry presence through conferences, white papers, or pro bono leadershipWhat We OfferLeadership position within a fast-growing, purpose-driven organizationCompetitive compensation and performance incentivesFlexibility through hybrid work opportunitiesDedicated support for professional development and licensureChance to shape the future of engineering through sustainable designAdditional InformationIntroba is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $175,000-200,000 annually for this position and local market.
