KIT Recruitment is seeking a highly driven and experienced Sales & Business Development Manager to lead our client’s sales initiatives across North America. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving revenue growth, identifying new business opportunities, and strengthening customer relationships in the transportation and logistics industry.We are looking for a self-starter with a proven track record in trucking or logistics, ideally bringing an existing book of business and the ability to independently develop new accounts.The Details· Location: Flexible (Remote/Hybrid/Onsite based on performance)
Salary Range: $70,000 - $75,000 base + Commission
  • Commission: 6–8% of gross profit
  • Technology: Company laptop provided; $75/month mobile phone allowance
  • Vacation – 2 weeks plus 10 personal/sick days
  • Benefits – Dental & Prescription

  • Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Forecast revenue regularly based on market trends, sales data, and performance metrics.
  • Prepare accurate and timely rate proposals for customers.
  • Engage in direct sales activities including lead generation, customer visits, rate negotiation, and account management.
  • Represent the company in a professional and ethical manner at industry events and client meetings.
  • Monitor market and competitive conditions to recommend adjustments to marketing and sales strategies.
  • Analyze operating and sales performance to support business planning.
  • Establish and maintain strategic marketing programs to support growth and retention.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3-5 years of successful experience in a sales role within the trucking or logistics industry.
  • College diploma or equivalent education.
  • Strong knowledge of the transportation industry and the company's service capabilities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and sales management tools/software.
  • Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong understanding of financial and margin-based selling
  • Possesses an existing book of business.
  • Highly self-motivated and results-oriented.
  • Able to "hunt" and close new business without extensive onboarding or hand-holding.
