This position is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service while efficiently managing check-ins, tee time bookings, and retail operations within the golf shop. Acting as a welcoming and knowledgeable guest service representative, the Golf Shop Attendant ensures members and guests enjoy a seamless, professional, and memorable golf experience.Duties & ResponsibilitiesPublic & Member Check-InGreet members and public players upon arrival in a friendly and professional manner.Verify reservations, confirm tee times, and ensure guests have all required information and equipment prior to play.Tee Time & Booking SupportAssist members and the public with booking future tee times.Accommodate preferences when possible and provide accurate information on course availability, tournaments, and special events.Merchandise Organization & SalesMaintain the overall organization, cleanliness, and presentation of the golf shop.Restock merchandise as required and assist guests with the selection and purchase of golf equipment, apparel, and accessories.Accurately process retail transactions.Guest Service ExcellenceServe as a primary point of contact for all golf-related inquiries.Provide recommendations, resolve concerns, and ensure a high level of guest satisfaction throughout each visit.Administrative ResponsibilitiesAnswer phone calls and respond to emails in a professional and timely manner.Process payments and maintain accurate records of reservations, sales, and inventory.Course KnowledgeDevelop and maintain a strong understanding of both Deerhurst golf courses, including layouts, rules, policies, and daily conditions.Team CollaborationWork closely with golf professionals, grounds, and food & beverage teams to support smooth daily operations and consistent service standards.Education & ExperienceHigh School Diploma (asset)Knowledge of golf merchandise and equipment (asset)Previous golf course experience (asset)Cash handling experience (asset)Comfort working with computers and point-of-sale systems (asset)Skills & AbilitiesStrong guest-service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively within a team and take initiative when appropriate.High attention to detail with a commitment to organization and cleanliness.Professional, energetic, flexible, and dependable.Enjoys delivering outstanding service and supporting the needs of others.Clear and effective communicator with a polished telephone manner.Confident sales ability and product knowledge within a retail environment.Accurate and reliable handling of sales transactions.Proficient in computer systems used for daily operations.Thrives in fast-paced and dynamic environments.Maintains composure and professionalism during challenging situations.Demonstrates sound judgment and quick, accurate decision-making.Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Schedule & Work EnvironmentShift work requiredOutdoor working environmentEvenings, weekends, and holidays required based on business needsThe Perks for All Team MembersGain experience in a fun environmentFree resort pass access: complimentary access to all on site activities and amenities, pool, gym and more!Hotel, retail and restaurant discountsMeet new people and work within a great teamEligibilityMust be legally eligible to work in Canada.This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills, or efforts required of the position.
