Job Description :Develop and guide the behavior of farm animalsDevelop specific plans to prioritizeDiagnose livestock health issuesDisinfect pens, barnsHandling animalsMarking livestock as proof of ownershipMonitoring animal healthOrganize daily tasks to accomplish the workPerform livestock feedingPrepare a clean and dry area for cowsTrack and report on current feed inventoryTreat livestock health issuesFeed and tend animalsAssist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures.Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipmentProvide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, or harvesting, as needed to feed the cattle.Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed while performing daily tasksClean barns, barnyards and pensPerform general farm dutiesWrite daily basic progress reportsOccasionally drive a tractor within the farmRequirementsEducation: Some secondary education is required.Experience: At least 1 year of experience minimum in the position is required. Important Information:Flexibility in the schedule is required. The work schedule consists of a 6-day workweek, with a half-day on Saturday, and alternating weekends off and on.Working hours are from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Saturday shifts are from 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM. Workers will need to work on holidays.Overtime and being on call may be required depending on business needs.
