Disassembly of large industrial bearings
Bearing repair assessments
Grinding and polishing of bearing components
Assembly of repaired bearings
Assist machinists and mechanics by cleaning machines, parts, and areas
Read and interpret blueprints and engineered drawings
Run variety of machines including slotters and hob sharpening machines
Understand tool limitations and controls during operation
Operate machines within tight tolerances and knowledge of feeds and speeds
Measure precisely utilizing calipers and maintaining specifications
Operate overhead crane and forklift
Maintain equipment and ensures work area is clean and safe at all times.
Assure compliance with appropriate safety practices and procedures.
Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures.
Assist with continuous improvement projects under the direction of the team leader.

This position will include on-the-job training for all machines and tasks the successful candidate is unfamiliar with.QualificationsOur ideal candidate has mechanical aptitude and industrial experience.Education

High school education or G.E.D

Competencies

Valid Driver’s License
Ability to operate a forklift and overhead crane
Mechanical inclination
Aptitude for working with hand and power tools, equipment, and machines
Reliable track record at previous employment
