As a caregiver, you'll create meaningful moments by:
- Spreading Warmth and Companionship: Spend quality time with seniors, fostering friendships and engaging them in conversations and activities that keep their spirits high.
- Promoting Independence: Assist with personal care tasks like grooming, showering, and dressing, ensuring seniors feel confident and cared for.
- Keeping Things Sparkling: Help with light housekeeping, including dishes, laundry, and tidying, to maintain a cozy and welcoming home.
- Whipping Up Happiness: Prepare meals with love, catering to dietary needs, and assisting with feeding (if needed).
- Ensuring Safety and Mobility: Support seniors with walking, including the use of walkers or wheelchairs, and ensure safe travels to appointments or outings.
- Running Errands and Staying Connected: Shop for groceries, handle bills, or provide transportation to appointments, family visits, or outings.
- Documenting Your Impact: Record details of your visits and services delivered to ensure the best care for our seniors.
- Empathy, patience, and kindness.
- Communication skills that could light up a room.
- Ability to juggle tasks confidently.
- Flexibility to changing schedules.
- First aid and CPR skills are a bonus too.
- A driver's license and reliable transportation to be their hero on wheels.
- A heart full of compassion and a high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year experience as a caregiver
- Ability to lift, push, or pull 25 pounds
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven customer service abilities
- High school degree or equivalent
- Currently located in Calgary, AB (no international applicants)
- Willing to travel up to 30 minutes from home to work location
- No Driver's license and vehicle needed to qualify!
