- Perform labor related to repair and installation of wastewater facilities
- Use industry best practices for wastewater equipment installation and repair
- Operate testing or processing equipment of moderate complexity, and construct components or subassemblies
- Trouble shoot malfunctioning equipment and make simple repairs
- Any other duties assigned by management
- High School or trade school diploma is required, an associate degree in a related field is preferred; three to six years' experience in the water and/or wastewater treatment facility operation and maintenance; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Meet certification requirements to obtain certified drinking water operator licenses, Level will be defined on each Task Order
- Ability to obtain Level 1-4 treatment operator license
- Ability to obtain Level 1-4 collections operator license
- Must have a good driving record.
- Working knowledge of the principles, procedures, methods, equipment, materials, and tools employed in the operation' and maintenance of the water and wastewater treatment, collection and distribution systems.
- Thorough knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions involved in water and wastewater treatment work.
- Must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Knowledge of computer applications.
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply instructions, drawings and specifications for work assigned.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, other personnel, and the general public.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
