
Quality Assurance Inspector

- Production Start-Up: Participate in start-up meetings, confirm specifications for each job, and approve the production run.
- Line Clearance & Verification: Perform area clearances and cleaning checks, verifying that previous product and packaging materials are fully removed.
- Product & Materials Checks: Verify correct product, packaging, lot numbers, and control numbers against orders and release records.
- In-Process Inspections: Conduct sampling, inspection, and testing to ensure packaged product meets required specifications.
- Training & Support: Guide operators on sampling and testing requirements and promote adherence to quality plans.
- Documentation & Audits: Review and audit batch records, ensure results align with specifications, and support investigations into discrepancies with CAPAs and root cause analysis.
- Good Documentation Practices: Act as a champion on the shop floor, addressing issues and providing guidance to ensure traceability and compliance.
- Validation & Release: Carry out validation sampling and testing per protocol, document results, and support product release for both incoming and finished goods.
- Collaboration & Flexibility: Work closely with Production and QA teams to maintain a strong quality culture and take on additional duties as needed.

- High school diploma required; post-secondary diploma or bachelor’s degree in a science-related field preferred.
- Additional training or certification in cGMP Quality Assurance is an asset.
- 1+ years of experience in quality assurance within a cGMP pharmaceutical environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cGMP and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Excellent communication skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing demands.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including days, afternoons, midnights, and continental schedules.
- Experience within a pharmaceutical or food environment
- Understanding/familiarity of cGMP
- Experience within a regulated environment packaging/food/pharmaceutical (FDA, Health Canada)
