Technician II Structured Cabling

- Install and service cabling infrastructure and devices for Data and Audio Visual and CCTV; includes pre-wiring, installation, termination, labeling, testing and reporting per specifications and drawings
- Install network racks and cabinets in server rooms
- Interact with customers and prospects, ensuring all inquiries are handled professionally
- Adhere to Paladin’s Quality and Safety programs
- Complete detailed and accurate documentation, including OHS checks, packing slips, checklists, as-builts, test results
- Consistently provide high levels of customer service
- Travel and overtime may be requested with this position on an ad hoc basis
- Perform additional duties as required

- Experience pulling, terminating and testing cat5/6 and fiber optic cables
- Experience installing other cabling infrastructure (racks, cabinets, etc)
- Experience installing other low voltage systems (CCTV, access control, AV, wireless, unified communication, nurse call, RTLS)
- Post-secondary education in electrical, telecommunications, electronics, or equivalent is considered an asset
- Flexibility to work in a variety of environments, from construction sites to finished corporate offices
- Comfortable working at heights and must be able to lift upwards of 50 pounds
- Valid Driver’s License with clean abstract and no restrictions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail
- Must be bondable and able to pass a background check
