Job Description:
  • Weld steel components for Agricultural equipment.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Read and interpret weld drawings or welding process specifications
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas metal arc welding (GMAW) (MIG)
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
  • Operate previously set up welding machines such as resistance or gas welding machines to weld production parts.
  • Must be able to set up a welding machine.
  • Meet production schedule as set by Weld Supervisor
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Previous welding experience or training required
  • Ability to interpret and understand fabrication drawings and manufacturing processes
  • Heavy steel welding experience is an asset
  • MCAW experience is an asset
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to follow all safety regulations.
  • Capable of using measuring instruments, gauges, etc. to check components
  • Will need to pass a weld test.
