Job Title: Mechanical EngineerOur client who is directly involved in the Military and Defense sector in Canada are on the hunt for a Mechanical Engineer! Working in the industrial manufacturing and capitol project space, the mechanical engineer will be assisting full projects from initial scope, to handover, including system design, engineering, production and integration. Directly involved with all phases of the projects, you will be working with a variety of teams from mechanical, electrical, fabrication, supply chain/procurement, and planning teams.What We Are Looking For
  • A subject matter expect when it comes to piping, HVAC, plumbing, piping systems, etc.
  • Experience in 2D design and 3D modeling/integration.
  • Coming from the heavy/industrial or commercial sector.
  • An outgoing personality and great communication skills.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience
  • Familiarity with CAD tools and document control systems.
  • EIT/P.Eng Designation
  • Eligible to obtain security clearances .
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and validate mechanical system designs through calculations and analysis.
  • Create and review material specifications and bills of material.
  • Provide technical direction to suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Conduct field reviews and support production teams.
  • Identify technical risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Develop test plans and installation strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production planning and resolve design issues.
  • Prepare equipment purchase specifications and review vendor documentation.
  • Ensure effective communication across engineering disciplines and maintain design interface integrity.
  • Coordinate design packages for approval and ensure compliance with standards.
