The ideal candidate drives holds a current CPI blue card AND a Broad Sector Check (different from VSC) Scheduling is flexible, but open availability is an asset.Job Benefits:
  • Pay $21.00 per hour
  • Benefits Plan available after working 30+ hours per week*
  • 4% Vacation Pay on every pay

The successful candidate’s areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and personal care including eating, dressing, transferring, toileting, hygiene, grooming, and bathing as per client's care plan
  • Supporting client with assigned physiotherapy exercises daily if required
  • Providing medication support and management
  • Providing cognitive, social, emotional, behavioral and spiritual support
  • Maintaining open communication with client and nurses
  • Monitoring care plan and adding detailed documentation with any changes and updates
  • Responding to all emergency situations
  • All other duties, as assigned
Key qualifications for this position will include, but are not limited to:
  • PSW certification from a public college/learning center OR additional NACC certification is preferred*
  • PSW experience of over 2 years is *required**
  • Access to a reliable vehicle and a valid drivers license
  • Valid CPR/First Aid certification
  • Completion of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check within last 6 months
  • Broad Sector Check within last 4 months
  • CPI BLUE CARD
  • 2 Satisfactory professional references
  • Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions
  • Must be able to anticipate problems and use sound judgment and tact in handling confidential matters
