Description :Saskatchewan Blue Cross®, one of Saskatchewan’s Top Employers, is currently recruiting for a full-time temporary Team Lead, Health & Dental Claims, in the Health & Dental Claims Department. This is a temporary opportunity for up to 12 months with the possibility of extension. Reporting directly to the Manager, Health & Dental Claims, the Team Lead is responsible for leading day-to-day operations and driving the achievement of departmental and individual goals, projects, and objectives. This position is responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of health, dental, and travel claims adjudication services and handling of claim-related escalations, inquiries, complaints, or appeals in a timely and professional manner. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Monitor, maintain, and provide ongoing evaluation of delivery standards
  • Review, analyze, and respond to inquiries and effectively handle all escalated claims, appeals, or complaints
  • Responsible for the skill development and performance management of direct reports
  • Support the Manager, Health & Dental Claims, and other Team Lead(s) with:
  • Resource planning and management
  • Research, development, and maintenance of adjudication practices, processes, and standards
  • Analyzing claims data, preparing reports, and communicating results
  • Planning, implementation, and monitoring department work plans
  • Recruitment and onboarding
  • Responding to new developments and trends in technology
  • Participate and represent the department on various internal and/or external committees or initiatives as required
  • Ensure adherence to strict confidentially guidelines
  • Other related projects and duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
  • Completion of a Certificate from an accredited post-secondary institution in a relevant field (i.e. Business), or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience is required
  • A minimum of 3 years of related experience working within the insurance industry, specifically Health, Dental and Spending account benefits and adjudication
  • Previous leadership experience would be considered an asset
  • Familiarity with and adherence to Saskatchewan Employment Legislation
  • Dedication to provide exceptional client service to all Saskatchewan Blue Cross clients, staff, and external stakeholders
  • Robust written and oral communication abilities
  • Excellent organizational, research, and analytical skills with the ability to summarize information into reports and other documents
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 with the ability to understand and learn new systems
  • Admirable leadership skills, including motivating, developing, coaching, and leading teams
  • Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to determine root causes and provide recommendations to management, staff, and stakeholders
  • Demonstrate ability to collaborate across the organization, seeking to understand the interests of others, and support the collective mandate of Saskatchewan Blue Cross
  • High level of professionalism and strict adherence to confidentiality
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada on an unrestricted basis
  • Criminal Record and background check satisfactory to Saskatchewan Blue Cross
