- Lead the legal team's preparation, review, and organization of legal organizational documents, including corporate registrations and corporate filings as needed, globally
- Support on annual proceedings, resolutions, and tracking the company and its subsidiaries filing requirements
- Coordinate the execution and distribution of legal documents, tracking signatures and maintaining records
- Conduct research on various topics as assigned, summarizing findings and providing recommendations to the Legal team
- Support the preparation and filing of future required company documents
- Perform general and annual corporate maintenance
- Assist in the maintenance of documentation and corporate records generally
- Provide support for intellectual property portfolio management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date legal files and databases, ensuring easy access and retrieval of documents
- Liaise with external counsel as required
- Provide administrative support to the Tax team in various capacities, including managing state and local tax notices, data entry, document preparation, and filing
- Assist with the preparation and submission of certain tax forms and reports
- Collaborate with the Tax team to gather information and documentation for audits and other tax-related inquiries
- Oversee the organization and distribution of general incoming mail via StackAdapt's virtual mailbox, as well as the timely processing of outgoing mail
- Champion and recommend process improvements to support in StackAdapt's growth
- 3 years+ of relevant experience
- Postsecondary degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or related field
- Completion of a Legal Assistant or Law Clerk Diploma an asset
- Previous experience in a corporate environment, preferably in a legal or compliance role
- Knowledge of SEC filings and regulatory requirements is a plus
- Familiarity with tax notices, as well as compliance procedures and principles
- A positive, collaborative spirit, and a learning mindset
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Able to “own” and manage projects from beginning to end, with an internally driven sense of follow through
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Discretion and ability to handle confidential information with sensitivity
