- Leads communication plans for large projects and initiatives and ensures they are measurable. Coordinates and manages the resources and change management process to ensure success.
- Develops and maintains strong, customer-focused relationships with key internal stakeholders and decision makers. Acts as a trusted advisor to senior management and executives.
- Communicates complex information through written communication tailored to the right audience. Provides recommendations on the appropriate communication medium and ensures PCL standards are met.
- Provides superior editing and proofreading support.
- Supports the PCL brand, ensuring that all published pieces match the brand voice, tone and style guide requirements.
- Works closely with the Creative Services team to meet video and graphic design requirements.
- Builds relationships with all levels of internal clients. Works directly with these key internal clients to ensure message consistency and support their initiatives with various communication and change management tactics.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in corporate communications, public relations, marketing, journalism or related field.
- 10 or more years of progressive communications experience.
- Experience in the architecture, engineering and construction industry is preferred.
- Proven ability to develop and deliver large-scale communications and change management plans.
- Superb verbal, writing, editing and proofreading skills (a portfolio of samples to share will be requested at the interview stage).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and experience with Adobe creative software such as InDesign and Photoshop is considered an asset.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at one time in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative and team-focused with the ability to develop and sustain positive working relationships with internal teammates and clients.
