Hours of work: 8:00am - 4:15pm, Monday-FridayKey ResponsibilitiesService Excellence:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of activities of daily living in alignment with Bethany Care's policies and procedures, collaborating with residents to identify personal goals and preferences.
- Ensure each resident’s needs, preferences, and goals are addressed in a personalized and respectful manner, providing tailored interventions that enhance their quality of life, optimize functional abilities, and continuously strive to uphold the highest standards of care and service.Coordinate with families, acute care teams, and community resources (e.g., AADL, equipment vendors, seating clinics) to support residents in achieving their goals.
- Maintain detailed documentation in healthcare records, including resident-centered care plans, ensuring accurate tracking of resident participation and progress.
- Collaborate closely with the Interdisciplinary Team to deliver integrated and holistic care to residents, while fostering a foster a supportive and positive work environment through building strong relationships with team members, residents, and families.
- Work effectively alongside Occupational Therapy Assistants/Therapy Assistants, offering guidance and support to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Exhibit strong decision-making skills, providing leadership within the Occupational Therapy Assistant(s) team and ensuring alignment with Bethany Care’s mission and values.
- Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy or Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT) recognized equivalent.
- Registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).
- Proven experience in conducting comprehensive assessments of activities of daily living, aligned with Bethany Care’s policies and procedures.
- Ability to collaborate with residents to identify personal goals and preferences, providing tailored interventions to enhance quality of life and optimize functional abilities.
- Experience coordinating with families, acute care teams, and community resources (e.g., AADL, equipment vendors, seating clinics) to support residents in achieving their goals.
- Skilled in maintaining detailed healthcare records, including resident-centered care plans, and ensuring accurate tracking of resident participation and progress.
- Strong understanding of resident care, occupational health, and safety policies and procedures.
- A commitment to providing exceptional, compassionate care that promotes the well-being and independence of residents.
- Ability to address each resident’s needs, preferences, and goals in a personalized and respectful manner.
- Continuously strives to improve and enhance the quality of care while maintaining the highest standards of service.
- Valid class 5 drivers license as travel to both the Red Deer and Sylvan Lake location is required.
