- $20,000 one-time payment, prorated for physicians working less than full-time
- 25.62% paid on top of MSP billings or service contracts
- $38,880.18 annual flat fee payment paid to any physician that resides and practices in an eligible RSA community for a minimum 9 months per year and bills equal to or greater than $75,000 in the previous calendar year.
- $9,000 (based on where you are relocating from –within BC)
- $12,000 (based on where you are relocating from –moving within Canada outside BC)
- $15,000 (based on where you are relocating from –moving from outside of Canada)
- Individual funds - $1,320 in first 2 years, $3,520 in 3rd/4th year, $5,720 over 4 years
- R-CMPA (Canadian Medical Protective Association) provides eligible rural BC physicians with up to a 50% refund of CMPA fees, requiring 9 months of residency and practice in an RSA community and at least $75,000 in billing.
- Rural incentives are subject to change and current rates are confirmed at time of offer.
- Licensing:
- Full or provisional license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC (CPSBC)
- Mandatory Requirements:
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
- Emergency medicine experience
- Professional Affiliation:
- Certification or eligibility for certification by the Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) is desired.
- Desired Qualifications:
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Additional Information:
- The CARE course can be considered as an alternative for expired ATLS, ACLS, and PALS or NRP certifications
