- Prepare and bake a wide range of products, including bread, pastries, cakes, cookies, and more.
- Follow recipes and production schedules to ensure timely and consistent output.
- Measure and mix ingredients accurately.
- Operate and maintain baking equipment and tools.
- Ensure all baked goods meet our quality standards for taste, texture, and appearance.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to develop new recipes and products.
- The willingness to learn in a team environment while striving to exceed Relais & Chateaux, AAA 4 & 5 Diamond and Forbes Standards.
- Proven experience as a baker, with a strong portfolio of baked goods.
- Knowledge of baking techniques and methods.
- The ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task in a stressful environment, and creative problem-solving skills.
- A positive and proactive approach and an ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items.
- Culinary school diploma or relevant certification is a plus.
- Minimum 1-year previous experience in a fine dining establishment or similar.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, are needed.
