The Opportunity:The Project Manager 1 is responsible for managing assigned Change Requests (CRs) and low to medium complexity projects, both IT and non-IT, for COR.IQ. These may be internal or client-facing. You’ll oversee multiple CRs and projects simultaneously, ensuring scope, budget, timelines, and resources stay aligned with approved plans. You’ll document and escalate variances, propose corrective actions, and work with teams to identify and manage risks and issues, escalating unresolved items to senior leadership. You’ll also lead the change request estimation process to ensure responses are delivered within SLA.This is a hybrid role with flexible onsite expectations, typically 1 to 2 days per week. New employees are expected to be onsite 2 to 3 times a week during their first three months to support onboarding and collaboration. #LI-HybridAbout The Role:
  • Manage CRs and low/medium complexity projects, ensuring delivery on time, on budget, and within scope.
  • Keep stakeholders informed through formal and informal communication channels.
  • Prepare documentation such as Statements of Work, estimates, and requirements analysis.
  • Lead the response process for CRs under $50K, ensuring delivery to clients within SLA (7 business days).
  • Facilitate and participate in team meetings to share progress, risks, issues, and assignments.
  • Ensure project-level reporting aligns with Symcor standards, including weekly Project Status Reports (PSRs), steering committee updates, and executive reporting.
  • Review and forecast resource assignments and project demand.
  • Identify major variances, propose solutions, and recommend actions.
  • Maintain and adjust the project resource plan to meet timelines and budget.
  • Collaborate with Front Office Technical Consultants to ensure due diligence aligns with business objectives.
  • Support requirements gathering, notional timeline creation, and estimate development.
What You Need to Succeed:Education:
  • College diploma or undergraduate university degree in a related discipline or a combination of experience, education and/or training deemed to be equivalent.
  • PMP or working towards PMP certification
Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years of Project Management experience following a structured project management methodology.
Skill requirements:
  • Working knowledge of PMI’s project management approach and completion of an introductory course.
  • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Strong communication skills across all levels of the organization, including client-facing interactions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Confluence).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and influence without authority.
