Our Toronto-based client is seeking an experienced SAP FI/CO Manager to join their project starting immediately for a year contract with potential for an extension. The ideal candidate will be responsible to bridge the gap between finance operations and SAP technology by optimizing processes, fixing pain points, and unlocking system potential. This is a hybrid position with 2 days of on-site work required.Key Responsibilities:
  • Reporting & Fiori Enablement.
  • Develop and optimize Fiori-based reporting for FI/CO and integrated modules (SD, MM, HR).
  • Provide end-user training and tutoring on core SAP FI/CO functionality and best practices.
  • Ensure seamless data flow between FI/CO and other SAP modules (e.g., procurement-to-pay, order-to-cash).
  • Support closing processes with a focus on identifying efficiency opportunities (e.g., automation, error reduction).
  • Assist with budget planning, variance analysis, and cost allocation process improvements.
  • Prioritize and implement "low-hanging fruit" improvements (e.g., GL validations, JE workflow fixes).
  • Address urgent operational issues while supporting strategic projects.
  • Drive AP automation (e.g., OCR, workflow approvals) and streamline bank reconciliation.
  • Manage JE workflows (suspend/wait/approve/post) and enforce GL validation rules by department/user.
  • Collaborate with Talan (or other partners) for escalated technical resolutions.
  • Bilingual is a major asset.
