Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba (onsite)About the role:Looking for a fun and rewarding media career with 3 of Winnipeg’s most vibrant and renowned radio stations? 680 CJOB, Power 97 and Country 99 have an exciting opportunity for a Promotions Coordinator. Reporting to the Promotions Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing promotions for all radio stations.You will contribute by:
- Responsible for the execution of all aspects of promotions for 680 CJOB, Power 97 and Country 99
- Includes implementing promotions/contests, writing promotional materials, content contribution and scheduling of social media materials, communication of contest details to talent and staff, listener and contest winner correspondence, and prize fulfillment
- Planning and executing station events and charitable/community partnerships
- Create revenue opportunities through the regular and ongoing execution of station sales and marketing initiatives, including collaborating with the sales team and building sales promotions proposals
- Work closely with the Promotions Manager and Program Director on promotions and marketing initiatives and campaigns
- Street team coordination, training and scheduling, on-site appearances, and coordination of events/concerts, and set-up of promotional activations or remote broadcasts when required
- Work with and engage community organizations and business partners to develop effective partnerships
- Monitor trends and adjustments in the market / industry to capitalize on promotional or marketing opportunities
- Maintain promotional inventory, station signage, equipment, supplies, vehicles and related documentation
- Availability for weekend and evening activities as required
- Manage and execute social media strategy and calendar across related social media channels with guidance of the Digital Team.
- Staying on top of the latest social trends to create content in a timely manner
- Respond in a timely manner to audiences when they have questions, inquiries, or comments on our content, or brand
- Post-secondary education in Radio, Broadcasting and/or Marketing is considered an asset.
- A minimum of three years’ experience in promotions or related experience
- Self-motivated team player with a desire to succeed and a positive attitude
- Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills with a keen eye for detail
- A creative thinker that isn’t afraid to share ideas
- Individual who likes to take initiative and build relationships
- The ability to work well under tight deadlines and juggle multiple tasks
- Strong computer skills - an above average understanding of Windows, PowerPoint and Excel programs
- A valid ‘G’ class driver’s license
