Excellence: Prioritizing quality services and setting industry standards.Role SummaryCategory CoordinatorHeli-One is seeking a motivated Category Coordinator to support component planning, procurement activities, and supplier performance across our fleet. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, solving operational challenges, and contributing to process improvements that support efficient fleet operations. This is a hybrid position based in Richmond, BC, Canada.Key ResponsibilitiesDemand PlanningPrepare plans for component demand and associated maintenance activities in accordance with aircraft utilization data submitted by customers and maintenance planning. This includes but not limited to the following:Prepare ongoing forecast of scheduled and unscheduled component demand through communication with Customer Support Teams and Maintenance PlanningShare ongoing forecast of scheduled and unscheduled component demand with vendors for critical componentsProvide Monthly Induction Forecasts to internal workshops and external vendorsCoordinate changes to demand plans with Customer Support Teams and Maintenance PlanningOrder ManagementCreate core unit return shipments and coordinate return of cores to vendors for exchange ordersExpedite return of unserviceable components from customers to repair facilitiesReview and approve repair quotesEnsure compliance to contract termsEnforce new product and repair warrantyIdentify opportunities to reduce cost and leverage alternative sources and PNs usageCreate/approve work authorization documents to internal and external suppliersMonitor and expedite overdue deliveries from suppliers and internal workshopsCreate Repair orders for internal workshops and external vendorsCommunicate priorities to internal workshops and external vendorsCoordinate and document the scrapping of components not able to be returned to serviceable conditionOrder FulfillmentEnsure supply of serviceable components to customers in accordance with contracts and planned requirement datesMaintain and monitor target stock/pool levels at bases and hubs in Coordination with the inventory/planning group to support contracts established with customers.Allocate components for delivery to Aircraft requirements based on priority and requirement datesAnalyze pool sizes and make recommendations for purchase of additional units or units to be moved to Surplus to support fleetMonitor and expedite deliveries to customersGeneralAnalyze fill rates for both Air Craft requirements and consignment stock fillsProvide induction forecasts and repair and overhaul costs to finance for budgetary purposesLiaise with vendors on quality issues in support of safety and quality requirementsIdentify components with poor reliability/high cost and interface with Supply Chain to develop and implement solutionsResolve invoicing issues for finance through communication with vendorsAssist the AOG team if/when requiredMay perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications, Skills & AttributesQualifications & Experience:Minimum of 2 years experience as a Planner, preferably within aviationBackground in supply chain/manufacturing environmentProficient with MS Office (Excel & Word)Detail oriented and mechanically mindedSelf-motivated and results oriented with a focus on qualityExcellent listening, verbal and written communication skillsExcellent collaborative problem solving skills with an ability to implement solutionsAbility to multitask in a rapidly evolving and dynamic environmentDemonstrated team player with excellent interpersonal skills and customer focusTeam Player with the ability to work unsupervisedPreferred Qualifications & Experience:Aviation work experienceTraining/experience in Continuous Improvement (Lean, Six Sigma)Why CHC HelicopterJoin a company where your work directly supports mission-critical aviation operations across the globe.
