The role includes diagnosing breakdowns, replacing components, and installing electrical systems. A strong working knowledge of PLCs, instrumentation, motors, motor controls, relays, and transformers is required. The position supports production teams and requires effective communication, adaptability, and a commitment to safety.Job Responsibilities:Perform electrical maintenance and repairs on plant equipmentInstall, remove, and replace electrical components and systemsConduct preventative maintenance inspections and complete reportsTroubleshoot and repair faulty electrical equipmentRead and interpret schematic and construction wire drawingsProgram, monitor, and troubleshoot PLC systems and control schemesInspect and repair motor control centres (MCCs), switchgear, and transformersInstall and maintain wiring, conduits, cable trays, and instrumentationIdentify and resolve issues with motors, AC/DC drives, and relaysLubricate assigned equipment as requiredMaintain a clean and safe work environmentReport deficiencies and hazards to the ForemanQualifications:Valid 309A (Construction & Maintenance) and/or 442A (Industrial Electrician) licenseThorough knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Safety CodeProficiency in PLC programming and troubleshootingStrong understanding of electrical systems and industrial controlsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and schematicsExperience working at heights and in confined spacesIntermediate computer skillsEffective written and verbal communication skillsWillingness to work rotating shiftsThis job posting reflects an existing vacancy.
