- Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic
- Experience leading, mentoring, coaching, and general management of a team of Heavy-Duty Technicians
- Experience in a heavy equipment environment, diagnosing, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing heavy equipment
- Experience performing preventative maintenance inspections on heavy equipment
- Experience using a variety of computer programs
- Safety and service orientation
- Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance
- Knowledge of regeneration systems
- Knowledge of electronic controls for hydraulic systems
- Adaptable to changing priorities
- Promotes respect, dependability and reliability
- Willing to work in a team environment
- Yukon Class 3 driver's license with air endorsement, or
- Yukon Class 1 driver's license with air endorsement endorsement (to be obtained within 1 year hire),
- Pass TMB Competency assessment on heavy equipment (grader, loader, dump truck or tractor trailer).
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certificate (to be obtained within 6 months of hire)
- Valid Canadian Journeyperson certification in one of the following: Heavy Equipment Technician, On-Highway Technician, or Off-road Technician.
- Travel throughout the territory,
- Work in adverse weather conditions,
- Use personal protective equipment,
- Personal tool kit.
- Steel toed Work boots
