Duties include, but are not limited to:
Supervising and caring for child in both primary and secondary homes; Assuming full responsibility for child’s physical and emotional well-being in absence of parents, and at all times while under your care; Maintaining a safe and healthy environment for the child; Ensuring child maintains personal hygiene; Tending to the emotional well-being of child and supporting their social development; Disciplining child according to the methods requested by parents; Planning age-appropriate activities that will support the child’s overall development, including cognitive, language/speech, social, emotional, and motor skills; Overseeing child’s school-related and extracurricular activities; Preparing and serving nutritious meals; and; Providing light housekeeping for the child.Requirements
Successful completion of secondary school. At least 5 years of full-time, paid in-home childcare experience, including at least 1 year of continuous employment with the same employer. Able to communicate and write in English. Willing to work at out 2 different homes. Willing to travel with family and assist with child supervision (expenses paid by employer). Able to work various shifts, including weekdays, weeknights, and weekends, with frequent variations to the schedule.

$28.50 per hour, based on 40 hours per week ($42.75 per hour after 44 hours per week). 10 days of paid vacation per year. WSIB benefits. Private health care insurance coverage for out of province applicants equal to the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) until the applicant is eligible for OHIP. Roundtrip transportation costs for out of province applicants.Apply
