Jardeg is recruiting Level 3 Rope Access Technicians to join the Heartland Constructors team at the Imperial Oil Kearl site in Fort MacKay, Alberta. This is a Spring Turnaround event, starting on May 12th going until June 2, shifts are 12 hours, both days and nights on a 24/4 or a 6/1 rotation. Charter flights are provided from Calgary or Edmonton to site. While working on-site, workers will be staying at the Wapasu camp which will provide hot meals, lodging, workout facilities, Wi-Fi and much more!. Competitive rates, opportunities to move around the plant and working with a team with a "safety first" mindset make this role ideal!The positions are for our spring TURN AROUND STARTING IN MAY 12 to June 2.Level 3 Rope Access Technicians are used in a wide range of repair, maintenance, inspection and access work. Rope access methodology boasts an unrivalled safety record, short set-up and dismantling time, positive environmental benefits and removes the need for invasive access equipment or disruption to a worksite.Responsibilities:
  • Proficiency in rope access techniques and equipment
  • Perform inspections, maintenance and repairs on structures and equipment at heights using rope access techniques.
  • Conduct rigging and rope systems for safe access and egress
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools and heavy equipment to complete assigned tasks
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
  • Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and repairs
Minimum Requirements:
  • IRATA Level 3 Certification is required.
  • Energy Safety Canada CSO
  • Energy Safety Canada Confined Space
  • Energy Safety Canada Wood Buffalo / Wildlife awareness
  • Basic Rigging - In Person
  • Overhead Crane - In Person
  • First Aid - Level A or C
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Satisfactory Drug and Alcohol Test
  • Mask Fit Test
  • Other Tickets may be required; to be determined by scope.
