We're looking for a Vice President of Finance to help us scale the financial backbone of the business with the same care and discipline we bring to our work. This is a senior leadership role that sits at the intersection of strategy, operations, and financial performance. You'll partner closely with the CEO and leadership team to strengthen how we plan, measure, and make decisions as we grow.Our work is custom, project-based, and increasingly complex. Success in this role requires someone who can bring clarity to that complexity, build systems that support scale, and ensure we are making thoughtful, informed trade-offs as we grow.What You'll Do
Financial Leadership & Strategy
- Lead the financial strategy of the business, partnering with the CEO and leadership team to support growth, investment decisions, and long-term planning
- Strengthen financial planning, forecasting, and scenario modeling to improve visibility, support decision-making, and guide investment and growth decisions
- Provide clear, actionable financial insights that help leaders understand performance, trade-offs, and opportunities
- Support expansion into new markets and increasing business complexity with disciplined financial planning
- Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and cash management
- Own financial performance outcomes, including cost discipline, margin performance, and cash flow health, using data to guide decisions and trade-offs
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with ASPE
- Lead month-end and year-end processes with a focus on clarity, efficiency, and reliability
- Strengthen financial systems, tools, and processes to support scale and improve visibility across the business
- Lead the implementation of the company's ERP system end-to-end, ensuring successful adoption, integration with operations, and long-term scalability of financial and operational processes
- Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and accessibility of financial data
- Build reporting that connects financial performance to operational realities
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Oversee audit processes and coordinate with external advisors (auditors, legal, tax, banking)
- Manage insurance, banking relationships, and financial risk
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team
- Build a high-performing, accountable team that balances technical excellence with business partnership
- Create clarity around roles, expectations, and development paths
- Foster a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and collaboration
- 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with senior leadership experience
- CPA designation required
- Experience in project-based, manufacturing, design-build, or custom environments
- Proven ability to scale financial systems, processes, and teams as a business grows
- Strong financial planning and analysis capability, including forecasting, modeling, and scenario planning
- Experience implementing or optimizing ERP/accounting systems
- Ability to translate financial data into clear, practical insight for decision-making
- Comfort operating in complexity, balancing multiple priorities and trade-offs

- Strong communication and collaboration skills across leadership and teams
