- Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, spousal support, and property division.
- Draft and review legal documents such as separation agreements, parenting plans, and court pleadings.
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients, ensuring their rights and interests are protected.
- Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and decision-making.
- Negotiate settlements and collaborate with opposing counsel to resolve disputes efficiently.
- Prepare for and participate in court hearings, mediations, and arbitration proceedings.
- Maintain accurate case files and ensure compliance with legal standards and deadlines.
- Foster strong client relationships through clear communication and empathy.
- Stay current with developments in family law legislation and jurisprudence.
- Contribute to the firm's overall success by supporting team initiatives and sharing best practices.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience practicing family law.
- Strong knowledge of family law legislation and court procedures in Ontario.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Skilled in negotiation, mediation, and conflict resolution.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Licensed to practice law in Ontario and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
