
Executive Chef - Restaurant

- Demonstrate strong expertise in authentic Italian cuisine, with experience in both approachable and fine dining menu styles.
- Develop and execute inspired Italian dishes, with a focus on flavor, presentation, and portion consistency.
- Ensure all menu items are prepared to the highest standard and delivered in a timely manner.
- Maintain operational excellence in daily food preparation and kitchen execution.
- Collaborate on seasonal menus, special features, and events to help market and promote the restaurant, including engaging with guests in the dining room.
- Lead the hiring, training, and management of a high-performing kitchen team.
- Drive financial performance by achieving targets in sales, labor cost, food cost, and inventory management.
- Work closely with the General Manager and Senior Management to align culinary operations with overall business goals.
- Proven experience in Italian cuisine; deep understanding of traditional and contemporary Italian cooking techniques.
- Culinary certification or equivalent professional training.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in an executive kitchen leadership role within an upscale casual or fine dining environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Flexible availability, including the ability to work opening and closing shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must be currently based in Vancouver.
